LISA BARNES

LB headshot (1).jpg

Lisa has always worked at nonprofits, in fields she likes to describe as 'quality of life issues': arts education, bicycle/pedestrian advocacy, and, for the last 5 years, social services. In her job at the Queen Anne Helpline, Lisa work with clients who are facing eviction or power shut-off due to short-term financial hardship; her goal is to keep them housed, with the power on, and move them to stability.

Lisa has a BA in art history and a MA in sustainable community development and nonprofit management. And, for nearly all her adult life she has been a renter - including the past 8 years here in Seattle.
